A Bit About Me

I love words. When I found my voice as a writer I felt that I'd finally found the path I was meant to take. I wrote my first book in Bermuda and haven't finished writing since. Today, I'm proud to say I live in Yorkshire.

Missing in Time

Set in the enchanting seaside village of Robin Hood’s Bay, Yorkshire, England, in the strict Edwardian world of upstairs/downstairs, Missing in Time is the story of two friends fighting to stay together and the true dramatic events that unfold one hundred years ago.

Readers' Comments:
“Writing voice is gorgeous – really vivid and contemporary and lively.” Kathryn Price

“Narration is immediate, dynamic and convincing. . . . Sally is a really engaging, pro-active heroine.” Sandra Glover, YA Author

"Gave this five stars because it had me engrossed from the very beginning right through to the last page. Best time travel story I've read since The Time Machine. The plot worked out fantastically well and is well written. I loved it. I just wish there could be a sequel. I really felt for the main leading characters. Adrian and Sally. I won't give anymore away about them but I will say I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I read it in one night. Highly recommended to anyone who's a fan of a time travel story." My Earlier Work

We were living in Bermuda and one day on a walk in a nature reserve off the beaten track, I kept saying someone should write a book about all the wonderful and free-to-enjoy places to visit for tourists and I suddenly decided the person should be me! I rushed home and began at once gathering all the background information I needed. I travelled to every inch of Bermuda, visiting places to eat, stay and go. Long story short, Pelican Publishing approached me to turn that book into one of their Maverick Guides and I have been writing ever since.
